Colored Pencil Drawings

Click photos to enlarge

I found an actual photo of these pumas in a nature book, and I was drawn to the colors. Tans and golds, with the beautiful blue sky and white snow, so I had to try my hand at drawing it. This is the result.
I have always felt spiritually drawn to wolves. At the time I drew this, my oldest son had been away from home for quite a while and I was missing him.

This is drawing was inspired by my reading "Women Who Run With the Wolves" By Clarissa Pinkola Estes.

My first wolf portrait also based on a photograph.
My husband is known as "The Big 'Ol Bear" in our family and I drew this for him. I wasn't really happy with the way it was working out so, I never completely finished it.

This is my second attempt in graphite.

This drawing was inspired by a Bible verse, Psalm 57:7
"My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast.
I will sing and give praise,
Awake, my glory!
Awake, Lute and harp!
I will awaken the dawn."

This is a drawing that I have re-done more than once. This is the final, completed, version.

This is a fantasy portrait of my youngest daughter, done whern she was only four years old.

This is a portrait of my oldest daughter, done when she was 19 years old.

Portrait of my husband, done after our honeymoon. (19 years ago!)

Random drawing .

When my second son was born, I did several drawings with the idea of eventually painting one of them as a mural on his nursery wall. By the time I got around to deciding what to paint, he had outgrown his nursery.

My oldest daughter loved Mercer Mayer books and I did the next two drawings for her based on coloring book pages.

Another Mercer Myer drawing

There was a time when I was writing alot of letters, I love fall, so I designed this as my personal stationery.

I began this drawing as just a doodle (of the rose) a couple of years later, I added the waterfall and background to it.

Another random doodle inspired by my daily Bible devotions.

"Welcome to my World"  graphite drawing completed 06/23/2010.

Really, some very interesting art here, Sierra.

I had no idea you worked so many sites. And it IS work. You are definitely talented, and it still requires WORK!

Another time I'll give this area of yours more time. Thanks!
